5-Tool Challenge at Jones Beach
October 13th at 10am
(West Field)
FREE FOR ALL ABA MEMBERS!
Event #1: Throwing Accuracy
10 (ten) Throws from 50 feet behind 2B. Skill is to throw as many balls as possible into a netted area behind home plate. Most in, wins. 1 (one) Throw Tie-Breaker to determine winner.
Prize: Softball Glove and Phiten Arm Sleeve
Event #2: Hitting for Average
12 (twelve) Swings: 4 swings per zone. Ball must land between designated sectors. HR is an Out, and "Cheap" hits (as declared by an official) are outs. A minimum distance required as to avoid players from chopping, half swinging, etc.
Prize: Batting Gloves and Elite Pull Over
Event 3: Fastest Runner
Timed event Home to Home. Runner must hit EVERY Base. Time officially kept by an official with a stop-watch.
Prize: Pair of East Coast Athletics Turfs
Event 4: Pitching Accuracy
10 (ten) Pitches into a bucket. Skill is to throw as many balls into the bucket. Most in, wins. 1 (one) Throw Tie-Breaker to determine winner.
Prize: Pitching Mask
Event 5: HR DERBY
10 (ten) Swings. Top 4 (four) players move on to the final round. Tie breaker determined by 1 (one) hit "hit-off"
Prize: 2013 USSSA Approved Bat

All 2012 ABA Members are FREE to participate. If you've played on any ABA Team in 2012 (League, Tournament or Event) you have a free entry into this event!
Non-ABA Members can participate for $20, to be paid at the field.
If entered in all events, player qualifies for LI's 5-Tool Player Award to be Awarded at our Awards Dinner on December 5th at Chateau Briand.
ABA Members must register for free on our website order to participate. Registrations at the field itself will be limited as there will be a maximum amount of participants as determined by ABA and All-Out Sports.
